Katelyn’s performance credits range from dance, aerial dance, fire dancing, and character work locally and internationally.
Katelyn Carano began working in the circus arts in 2012, as a hula hooper with the vivacious group, The Hoop Unit, in San Diego, CA.Upon her move to Santa Barbara in 2013, she started a program for hoop dance through UCSB’s Recreation Department. In 2015, Katelyn discovered the aerial arts. She began training under Autumn Phillips, and now teaches at Elevated Dreams studio located in downtown Santa Barbara. She has instructed at The Aerial Studio Ventura, has been brought in as a guest choreographer for The Cate School, and has taken on the roll of manager for UCSB Recreation Center’s Aerial Program. She also coordinates the Santa Barbara Hoop Collective.
Kat’s performance credits range from dance, aerial dance, fire dancing, and character work locally and internationally. From corporate events to large-scale productions, her resume ranges from the Electronic Music Awards to the Ghetty Museum, to performing for Google Receptions and Lionsgate Films. But there is a special magic that comes with teaching and connecting individually with students that keeps her creativity inspired to keep teaching in her community!
